Maternity or Pregnancy Leave: 16 weeks after 52 weeks of employment
Parental Leave (available to either parent): 62 weeks (Birth and adoptive parents can take up to 62 weeks of unpaid parental leave.)
Bereavement: 3 days
Compassionate/ Family Care/ Responsibility: '8 weeks
Up to 36 weeks for parents of critically ill or injured children
Up to 52 weeks for parents whose child
disappeared as a result of a crime
Up to 104 weeks for a crime-related death of a child
Sick Leave: No minimum standard applies for no. of days. (However, Up to 16 weeks for long-term personal sickness or injury. A medical certificate and reasonable notice is required.)
