Maternity or Pregnancy Leave: 17 weeks after 20 weeks of employment. Same if adoption.

Parental Leave (available to either parent): 35 weeks after 20 weeks of employment


Bereavement: '2 days unpaid / 1 day paid plus 2 days unpaid

For employees employed for less than 30 days: 2 days of unpaid leave in the event of the death of a spouse, child, mother, father, brother or sister, grandparent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law or son-in-law.
For employees employed at least 30 days: 1 day of paid leave and 2 days of unpaid leave.


Compassionate/ Family Care/ Responsibility: 28 weeks / 7 days
Seven days for family responsibility/sick leave; 28 weeks under compassionate care
Critical Illness of a Child Leave: 37 weeks (If employed at least 30 days)
Death or Disappearance of a Child Leave: 104 weeks for death, 52 weeks for disappearance (If employed at least 30 days)
