Nova Scotia - '- is entitled to be paid for at least 15 out of the 30 calendar days before the holiday (for example, on paid sick or education leave) - have worked the last scheduled shift or day before the holiday, and the first one after the holiday (this does not apply if the employee is told not to report for one of these periods) 


PEI - '- has been employed with the same employer for 30 calendar days before the holiday - has earned wages on 15 of the 30 calendar days before the holiday - work the scheduled shifts right before and right after the holiday - not have the option of refusing work when offered by the employer - not employed under an elect to work contract of service 


NWT - '- has worked 30 days in last 12 months - has worked regular schedule before and after the holiday - has reported to work when scheduled to work on holiday - not be on maternity, parental, compassionate or court leave exceeding ten days 


Yukon - - has been employed for at least 30 calendar days before the holiday - reported to work on the holiday after being requested to do so - not absent on the regular scheduled shifts, before and after the holiday, without consent - not absent for 14 consecutive days immediately before the holiday on an unpaid leave of absence. Note: Employee is entitled to both general holiday pay and the applicable overtime if you work on the statutory holiday, even if you've worked for an employer for less than 30 days. 


Nunavut - '- has worked 30 days in last 12 months - has worked regular schedule before and after the holiday - has reported to work when scheduled to work on holiday - not be on maternity, parental, compassionate or court leave exceeding ten days
